Terms and Conditions - Online Olympiad Examination

Terms & Conditions

Online Olympiad Examinations — Individual Student Registration. By registering a Student or appearing in any examination conducted by Indian Talent Olympiad, you accept these Terms in full.

Effective from 1 June 2026 Last updated 15 September 2026
Note

These Terms apply to individual student registrations for online examinations only. Registrations made through a school, and offline examinations, are governed by separate terms.

01

Definitions and Interpretation

Unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms carry the meanings below wherever they appear in this document.

a.ITO / we / us / our — Indian Talent Olympiad, operated by IT Olympiad Education Private Limited, registered office in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
b.Website — www.indiantalent.org and any ITO mobile application.
c.Student — the individual in whose name a registration is made.
d.Parent — the parent or lawful guardian of a Student who is a minor.
e.Student Login — the password-protected account through which subscriptions, schedules, exams, results and certificates are accessed.
f.Plan — a subscription plan: the Flexi, Smart or Champion Plan, or the plans offered for Classes 11 and 12.
g.Academic Year — the year for which a Plan is subscribed, as notified by ITO.
h.Round 1 / Round 2 — the first round of the Annual Olympiad, and the second round for Students who meet the qualifying criteria.
i.Monthly Test — a monthly Olympiad test held in the closing days of each month, covering that month's topics plus those of preceding months.
j.Exam Schedule — the published schedule covering both the Annual Olympiad and Monthly Test dates, as amended from time to time.
k.Study Material — offered as e-copy (in-login only), printed copy (dispatched), and an online test bank (topic-wise questions plus 5 model papers), each with separate Round 1 / Round 2 sets.

Headings are for convenience only. The singular includes the plural and vice versa. These Terms apply specifically to individual online registrations — school registrations and offline exams sit under their own separate terms.

02

Acceptance, Eligibility & Capacity to Contract

Registering, subscribing, or appearing in any examination means the Student and Parent accept these Terms in full.

Because most ITO students are minors, where the Student is under 18, the Parent makes the registration, accepts these Terms on the Student's behalf, and carries all resulting obligations — including payment. By registering, the Parent confirms they are the lawful guardian and consents to processing of the Student's data under Clause 20 and the Privacy Policy.

ITO may decline, suspend or cancel a registration where information supplied is false, incomplete or misleading, or where these Terms are breached. Registering in a class other than the one the Student genuinely studies in is itself a breach, and results in disqualification without refund.

03

Registration & Student Login

Registration happens on the Website and creates a Student Login. The Student and Parent are responsible for the accuracy of all details provided — name, class, school, mobile number, email and delivery address — and for keeping them current.

Certificates, results and communications are issued strictly on the basis of what's recorded in the Student Login. Errors caused by outdated details — a misprinted certificate, an undelivered message — are not ITO's responsibility, and any reprint or re-dispatch needed is chargeable.

Printed material is dispatched to the address on file, so it should be verified before ordering. A consignment returned undelivered due to an incomplete, incorrect, or non-resident address is re-dispatched only once fresh logistics charges are paid.

The Student Login is for the registered Student alone. Sharing credentials leads to withdrawal of access and disqualification without refund, and the Student and Parent remain responsible for all activity on the account.

04

Subscription Plans (Classes 1 to 10)

Programmes are offered on a subscription basis; item-by-item purchases and any standalone Monthly Test subscription are discontinued. Three Plans are available per Academic Year:

a.Flexi Plan — choose only the components needed: Round 1 registration, Monthly Tests, online practice bank, digital workbook, digital previous-year papers, and printed certificate.
b.Smart Plan — a fixed bundle of Round 1 registration, online practice bank, digital workbook, digital previous-year papers, printed certificate and performance report.
c.Champion Plan — everything in the Smart Plan, plus Monthly Tests.

Smart and Champion are fixed bundles — components can't be swapped or removed, and unused parts don't reduce the fee. Each Plan is subscribed per subject, so multiple subjects need separate selections (payable together in one transaction), and different subjects can sit on different Plans. A subscription is valid for its Academic Year only — access lapses at year-end and isn't extended or carried forward. Plans cannot be cancelled part-way, downgraded, transferred, or exchanged.

05

Subscription Plans for Classes 11 & 12

Classes 11 and 12 have their own plans, aligned to the JEE and NEET streams, with fees and components shown in the Student Login at subscription. A subscription is stream-specific — one stream's subscription doesn't extend to the other.

Except where stated otherwise, Clause 4's rules on per-subject subscription, Academic Year validity, and the ban on cancellation, downgrade, transfer and exchange apply equally here.

06

Scope of the Subscription

A Plan covers Round 1 only — Round 2 needs separate registration under Clause 12. Printed Study Material is never included in a Plan and must be bought separately (see Clause 15). Where a Plan does include the digital workbook or digital previous-year papers, those are supplied as part of that subject's Plan at no extra cost.

ITO may add, withdraw or modify Plan components for future Academic Years — such changes apply going forward only, and never affect a subscription already taken.

07

Fees, Payment & Taxes

Fees, component prices and subscription windows are exactly as shown in the Student Login at the time of purchase, and amounts are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments run through third-party gateways — ITO never collects or stores card, bank or wallet credentials, and isn't responsible for failures caused by the payment provider or the Student's bank.

A subscription activates only once payment is received. If an amount is debited without activation, raise it with the grievance channel (Clause 26) along with proof of payment for verification.

All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable across Students, subjects, Plans or Academic Years, except as set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy — unused components don't earn a proportionate refund. ITO may revise fees at any time; a revision never affects a subscription already paid for.

08

Exam Schedule & Slot Selection

Round 1 for Classes 1–10 runs in two slots, with subject-wise dates in the Exam Schedule. Every Student selects one slot at registration — once chosen, it cannot be changed, and slot-change requests aren't entertained. Registration for each slot closes on its published last date. Classes 11 and 12 have a single announced date per subject with no slot selection.

On exam day, the paper is open for the whole published time slot, and a Student can log in and attempt it at any point within that window; question count and duration are as published. Dates published ahead of the final schedule are tentative — the final Exam Schedule is confirmed at least 20 days before the exam, and any change within that notice window isn't grounds for a claim, refund or compensation. All scheduling follows Indian Standard Time.

09

Conduct of the Online Examination

The exam is attempted online via the Student Login. The Student is responsible for a suitable device, stable internet and uninterrupted power — ITO isn't responsible for failures on the Student's end, including device issues, browser incompatibility, connectivity loss or power failure. Logging in shortly before the slot closes is at the Student's own risk, with no extra time granted.

Each exam may be attempted once only, and must be submitted properly before the slot closes. ITO may suspend or reschedule an exam for a technical failure on its own end or an event beyond its control, notifying revised arrangements via the Student Login with no claim for compensation arising.

10

Missed Examinations & Special Slot

Students unable to appear or submit in either of the two announced Round 1 slots may, at ITO's sole discretion, be offered an additional special slot — even one not publicly announced. This is a discretionary concession, not a right: it can't be demanded, and related correspondence isn't entertained. No extra fee applies.

Absence in the special slot is final, with no further attempt, refund, adjustment or carry-forward. A technical failure alone doesn't guarantee a special slot — each case is assessed on its merits, and rescheduling for personal convenience isn't permitted. This clause covers Round 1 for Classes 1–10 only; Monthly Tests are governed separately by Clause 11.

11

Monthly Olympiad Tests

Monthly Tests are included in the Champion Plan, selectable in the Flexi Plan, and not part of the Smart Plan. Each test runs over a 5-day window per month, per the Exam Schedule — windows generally fall in the closing week but vary, so the published schedule always governs over the general pattern. A Student can attempt it at any point across the 5 days, within the daily time slot, with duration and question count as published.

A test can't be attempted before the window opens or after it closes, and one missed within its window is simply forgone — not rescheduled, reopened, carried forward, refunded or adjusted, and the special-slot concession in Clause 10 doesn't apply here. Subscribing part-way through the year only covers the Monthly Tests remaining in that year; earlier tests aren't made available and don't reduce the fee.

12

Round 2 Exam

Round 2 sits outside every Plan and needs its own registration, opened in the Student Login once Round 1 results are declared. Eligibility depends on meeting ITO's qualifying criteria from the Round 1 result — notified in the Student Login, and ITO's determination is final. Round 2 isn't offered for Classes 11 and 12, which have a single round only.

Eligible Students choose from a set of Round 2 packages, each combining one or more of:

a.the Round 2 examination;
b.a printed certificate (per Clause 14);
c.the online practice test bank (Round 2 set); and
d.Round 2 printed previous-year question papers.

Registration is per subject — qualifying in one subject doesn't create eligibility in another — and Round 1 materials don't carry over. Once a package is paid for, it can't be altered, downgraded or exchanged, and unused components carry no refund or cash value. Choosing a package without the Round 2 exam itself doesn't make a Student eligible to appear.

13

Results, Ranking & Awards

Results are declared in the Student Login on ITO's own timeline — a delay isn't grounds for a claim. Evaluation follows ITO's answer key and methodology, and the declared result is final and binding; re-evaluation, re-checking and disclosure of answer scripts or keys aren't offered.

Ranks, awards, prizes and scholarships follow criteria ITO publishes for that Academic Year — participation alone doesn't entitle a Student to any of them. Tied scores are resolved by ITO's published tie-breaking method, and ITO may withhold, revise or cancel a result, rank or award at any time if an error is found or malpractice is established.

14

Certificates

Soft copy — free for every eligible Student on every Plan, visible by default in the Student Login. It's for viewing only; there's no download option, so a physical copy needs the printed certificate instead.

Printed certificate by Plan — included automatically in the Smart and Champion Plans. Under the Flexi Plan, it's a separate purchasable component, supplied only if selected and paid for.

Opting in later — Students without a printed certificate can request one after the exam, within the notified window, at ITO's discretion and on payment of printing/dispatch charges. All such requests are processed as a single batch after the opt-in window closes — not individually — with dispatch taking 15–20 working days from batch processing, not from the individual request. ITO also runs an on-demand printing cycle each June for anyone who missed the earlier window.

Students and Parents should double-check the Student's name, class and school in the Student Login before results are declared — reprints needed due to incorrect registration details are chargeable.

15

Study Material & Delivery

Study Material comes as e-copy, printed copy, and an online test bank. E-copies (previous-year papers and workbook) are viewable in the Student Login only, with no download or print option. The online test bank's topic-wise questions and 5 model papers are split into non-interchangeable Round 1 and Round 2 sets, valid for the Academic Year of purchase and tied to the registered Student's login.

Printed Study Material takes 15–20 working days to arrive, so orders should account for the exam date — urgent-dispatch requests placed close to an exam aren't entertained, and late orders aren't substituted with a soft copy. Printed material ships within India only; Students subscribed outside INR receive the digital components instead.

Courier or postal delays aren't ITO's responsibility, and delivery is deemed complete once it reaches the address on file. A consignment returned for an incomplete or incorrect address is re-dispatched only after fresh logistics charges are paid, with no obligation to redeliver before an upcoming exam date.

16

Malpractice & Disqualification

The following result in disqualification from that exam:

a.logging in from, or using, more than one device during the exam;
b.more than one attempt at the same exam, from any device;
c.attempting the paper and failing to submit it correctly;
d.sharing login credentials, or anyone other than the registered Student attempting the paper;
e.reproducing, capturing, circulating or publishing exam content in any form; and
f.any other conduct that, in ITO's assessment, undermines the exam's integrity.

Disqualification is final — no refund, no re-attempt, and any result or award already declared is cancelled. A genuine inability to appear or submit (technical failure) falls under Clause 10 instead; but if records show a paper was attempted and deliberately left unsubmitted, or the session abandoned to dodge submission, that's treated as malpractice here, and no special slot is offered.

17

Intellectual Property

All ITO content — question papers, answer keys, practice questions, model papers, workbooks, study material, certificates, reports, the Website, and the ITO name and logo — belongs exclusively to ITO or its licensors. A Student receives only a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use this content for their own preparation during the subscribed Academic Year.

Nothing may be copied, recorded, screenshotted, downloaded, distributed, published, sold, turned into derivative works, or shared with any coaching institute, publisher or other third party without ITO's prior written consent. Breaching this is treated as malpractice under Clause 16, entitling ITO to disqualify the Student, withdraw access without refund, and pursue any other legal remedy.

18

Communication & Notifications

Schedules, slot details, opt-in windows and results are sent to the registered email and mobile number, and mirrored in the Student Login — both should be checked regularly. ITO isn't liable for undelivered notifications caused by an incorrect or inactive contact detail, or a provider-side technical issue, and a missed exam due to an unchecked notification doesn't create grounds for an extra chance or a special slot.

Courier tracking numbers for dispatched material or certificates are sent by SMS to the registered mobile number, for use directly with the courier. Support is available Monday–Saturday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM IST; queries outside these hours are handled the next working day.

19

Refund & Cancellation

Refunds and cancellations follow the separate Refund and Cancellation Policy published on the Website, which forms part of these Terms. Outside what that policy expressly allows, subscription fees, component prices and Round 2 fees are non-refundable — including where a Student fails to appear, doesn't use a component, or is disqualified under Clause 16.

20

Data Protection & Privacy

Personal data is processed under the published Privacy Policy and applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Where the Student is a minor, their data is collected on the basis of verifiable Parental consent given at registration, and ITO does not run tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at minors.

ITO may publish the name, class, school and photograph of award winners and rank holders in results, rankings, galleries, media coverage and promotional material. A Parent who prefers this not happen can write to the grievance address in Clause 26, and ITO will apply that preference going forward. Data is retained only as long as necessary for its original purpose, or as required by law.

21

Limitation of Liability

ITO provides its services with reasonable care and skill but doesn't guarantee an uninterrupted or error-free Website or exam platform, to the fullest extent the law allows. Its total liability for any claim is capped at the amount the Student actually paid for the relevant Plan or product, and it isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of opportunity. Nothing here excludes liability that can't lawfully be excluded.

22

Indemnity

The Student and Parent agree to indemnify ITO and its directors, officers and employees against claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from a breach of these Terms, misuse of the Student Login, infringement of ITO's intellectual property, or supplying false or misleading information.

23

Force Majeure

ITO isn't liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control — acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, government restrictions, civil disturbance, strikes, telecom/internet failures, or payment gateway or courier failures. Where such an event affects an exam, ITO may reschedule it and notify revised arrangements via the Student Login, with no refund or compensation claim arising.

24

Suspension & Termination

ITO may suspend or terminate a Student Login, cancel a registration, or withdraw access to any component with immediate effect for a breach of these Terms, established malpractice, or false or misleading information — with no refund arising from such action.

25

Amendment of These Terms

ITO may amend these Terms at any time, effective on publication (reflected in the "Last updated" date above). Continuing to use the Website or appear in exams after an amendment counts as acceptance of it — though an amendment never retrospectively changes the components of a subscription already paid for.

26

Grievance Redressal

Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, the designated Grievance Officer is:

 Name:  Vedank
 Designation:  Customer Support
 Email:  grievance@indiantalent.org
 Telephone:  1800 266 9192
Address:  No. 1005, Kailas Corporate Lounge, Veer Savarkar Marg, Jogeshwari–Vikhroli Link Road, Vikhroli     West, Mumbai, Maharashtra – 400079

A grievance is acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt, and ordinarily resolved within one month.

27

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra holding exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — subject to first attempting an amicable resolution through the grievance channel (Clause 26) within 30 days. This doesn't affect any right a consumer has to approach a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

28

General Provisions

Entire agreement — these Terms, plus the Refund and Cancellation, Shipping and Delivery, and Privacy policies, form the complete agreement and supersede all prior representations.

Severability — an invalid provision is modified only as far as needed to make it enforceable; the rest continues in force.

Waiver — a delay in enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it, and a one-off concession doesn't create a standing entitlement.

Assignment — a registration is personal to the Student and can't be transferred; ITO may assign its own rights and obligations to an affiliate or successor.

No agency — nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship between ITO and any Student, Parent or school.
